[Aesthetics vs Information Vol. 1]...October 2010. Contemporary Russian art in Klaipėda. We still know  them, and they still identify us. It is interesting to observe how the generations of our and their artists change, how Russian art becomes westernised and what it loses in the process of assimilation. One of the objectives of this presentation of contem-porary Russian art was to draw attention to the specifically “Russian” stylistic lay-er in the works of authors who belong to different generations...

On 29th of June at the Exhibition hall of Klaipėda Cultural Communcation Centre a project "3 Worlds in 1" was presented. The main curator of this project is Edward Lucie-Smith.
Two countries, two exhibitions and one panorama (Catalogue)

Lithuanian – Polish  contemporary painting project  “Contemporary Painting. PostEvolution“ has
two exhibitions. Exhibition of Polish painting „The first person singular” was presented
by Warsaw gallery „WizyTUjąca” and curator Leszek Czajka. Exhibition of Lithuanian painting
„PostEvolution” was presented by Klaipėda Culture Communication Center and curators Ignas
Kazakevičius and Vidas Poškus. The project took place from 16 July to 15 August, 2010.

R.Urbonas, a representative of informal underground in Lithuanian photography, chose position of a photographer – observer – at that time widely spread approach among artists stemming from the notion of “aesthetics of boredom“ originated in the 1980’s.
